This list is really a reminder for me — to keep in mind how good I feel when I’m training for something, and how fun it is to share the adventure of training and/or racing with others. I think I’ve only run 1 of these races solo, and I’m super happy about that. For me, running is less about competition and PRs (though I love me a good one!) and more about fitness, stress relief, staying healthy, and the companionship and camaraderie of friends and family who are important to me. And, yeah, I admit it, I love the medals, the photos, the t-shirts and the bagels I get from races. (My husband, however, doesn’t like the black toenails I get…). Oh, and the cool Half Fanatics t-shirt I earned in 2010, is pretty awesome too.
